Final Crit

The final and most useful crit, I think I got most ouut of this crit, good fedback an lots to concider and work on. I know I need to work on a wider range of products for the exhibition, not only the Zine and the Advertisement through posters, banners and billboards. time permitting I will endeavour to apply some of my feed back to my work, especially the promo materials.

Revised Rational

(Revised) Concept Statement

GOOD IS... Manned Space Exploration

Why?
  1. The advances in technology.
  2. The collaboration between nations.
  3. Discoveries.
  4. The human achievement of space exploration.
  5. Commercial space travel
I intends to (inform/instruct/persuade/direct/educate/promote to)
Inform, educate and promote manned space exploration over the past 50 years.

...a group of (identify your specific audience or context)
School students aged 11-16.

...that (state your message, idea, concept)
To show the achievement of manned space exploration.

In order to achieve this I will produce...
A free magazine, that will run along side an exhibition at the National Space Centre that documents and celebrates  the past 50years of manned space exploration. I will also design the promotional materials to go in schools across the country  as well as the streets for public view. The magazine will be placed in schools and libraries to encourage people to see the exhibition.

Product- what is your product
Posters, banners, fliers and main shots to publicise the exhibition and magazine.

Range- what range of deliverable will you produce/propose
Large scale posters and promotional materials surrounding the exhibition at NSC and the launch of the magazine.

Context- define the context in which your product will exist/be viewed
There will be posters and magazines in schools and libraries. There would also be large scale posters, banners and billboards in strategically placed parts of towns and cities to involve parents as well as the children.

Concept Crit 19/10/2011

The crit was very beneficial, it made me realise the holes in my project and knowledge of what I was trying to produce, I fell now that my idea was on a small scale, not pushing any boundaries . Through talking with the people in my group I can now go away and re evaluate where I am with my good and how I plan to deliver it.

Wrap it up Crit

Strengths

Very strong design.

Linning up with packaging is smart.

Scaling range of packageing.

Colour pallet works well.

Proffesional asthetics.

Using acetate is a good finishing quality.

Areas for improvement

Would be more refined if the logo is vectorised. logo is complex, possibly too much.

Could focus a rocket imagery for logo.

Stay clear of live trace.

See how the design works when uncentred.
